Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 23, 2026
1. Who We Are
Food Truck Playbook (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at https://foodtruckplaybook.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information directly. However, third-party services we use may collect information automatically:
- Advertising cookies: We display ads served by third-party ad networks (including Google AdSense). These networks use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Analytics: We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, time on site, referral sources). This data is anonymized and not linked to personally identifiable information.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard web access information including IP addresses and browser types. This data is retained per Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
3. Cookies
This site uses cookies primarily through third-party advertising networks. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Opting out of personalized advertising does not opt you out of advertising altogether — you will continue to see generic ads.
You may opt out of Google's personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
4. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information.
We do not sell personal information. Third-party ad networks that operate on this site may share data for targeted advertising purposes, which may constitute a “sale” under the CCPA. You can opt out of this via the Google Ad Settings link above or by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser.
5. European Visitors (GDPR)
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Non-essential cookies (including advertising cookies) require your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time via your browser cookie settings or by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer.
Legal basis for processing: Where we process personal data, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent — advertising and personalization cookies are only loaded after you accept via our cookie banner.
- Legitimate interests — anonymized analytics data (aggregate traffic patterns) is processed to improve the quality of our content, in a manner that does not override your privacy rights.
- Legal obligation — server logs are retained as required by our hosting provider's policies and applicable law.
If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EU).
6. Do Not Track & GPC Signals
Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We do not currently alter our data practices in response to DNT signals, as there is no uniform standard for how they should be interpreted. However, we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information under the CCPA.
7. Third-Party Links
Our content links to external websites (suppliers, platforms, government resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
8. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
